OZZY OSBOURNE's 'Down To Earth' Certified Platinum

OZZY OSBOURNE's latest studio album, "Down To Earth", has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA),signifying sales of more than 1,000,000 units. Osbourne took nearly two years after the album's release in October 2001 to reach this benchmark. Ozzy's 12th solo CD and his first solo release in six years, "Down To Earth" debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 chart with a first-week total of 152,538. This topped the first-week numbers for his previous set, 1995's "Osmosis", which also debuted at No. 4, but sold only 127,000 units that week.
